The Great Happiness Conference is a one-day conference that brings together science, leadership, and practice to explore happiness at work as a strategic asset in organizations. National and international speakers will share insights, research, and practical experience on how happiness at work contributes to human flourishing, sustainable performance, and future-proof organizations.

What makes this conference different from other events on (work) happiness?
The "The Great Happiness Conference" combines scientific evidence, international perspectives, and practical examples from leaders. It's an inspirational day with a follow-up, a substantive conference that positions happiness at work as a strategic and integral component of leadership and organizational development.
A unique feature is the many international speakers, all performing in the afternoon. The afternoon program is entirely in English and can be booked separately.

Both. The conference offers evidence-based insights and practical examples. You'll gain insight into the science behind (work) happiness and hear how leaders, directors, and managers apply these insights in their organizations.
Can I take away concrete tools or ideas for my organization?
Yes. The sessions focus on translating insights into practice. You'll leave with new perspectives, strategic tools, and reflections that you can apply within your role and organization. You can take away strategies and tips from each session.
What time does the conference start and end?
Reception is from 8:45 to 9:15, and the first session starts at 9:30. We'll finish around 5:00 PM, and drinks will begin.

Ticket prices are listed excluding VAT. VAT will be added at checkout. The ticket includes:

A separate ticket is available for attending only the afternoon sessions, which are all in English. This ticket also includes lunch at 12:00 noon.

Can I order multiple tickets at once?
Yes, it's possible to place multiple tickets in a single order. This is useful for teams or colleagues who want to participate together.
Are group or team tickets available?
Group packages may be available for teams or organizations. Please contact frans@actionforhappiness.nl for more information.
Can I cancel or transfer my ticket?
Cancellation and change policies are listed in the general terms and conditions at the bottom of the homepage. It is always possible to transfer a ticket to a colleague or acquaintance, provided this is communicated by email two days before the event.
Who organizes The Great Happiness Conference?
The Great Happiness Conference is organized by Action for Happiness Netherlands, part of the international Action for Happiness network, in collaboration with partners and experts from academia and practice. This year is the first time this conference is being held. If successful, we may repeat it next year! Is this conference suitable for international participants?
Yes. The conference is aimed at both Dutch- and English-speaking guests. The morning sessions are in Dutch. All afternoon sessions are in English. A separate AFTERNOON ticket is available for attending all afternoon sessions.

Venue Collective is located in the Hoofddorppleinbuurt neighborhood, also known as the Schinkel business park, and is easily accessible by car, public transport, and bicycle.

By car: Directly adjacent to the A10 ring road (exit S107) and only a 10-minute drive from Schiphol Airport. There are more than 300 paid parking spaces in the immediate vicinity (free after 7:00 PM). Within a 3-minute walk, you'll find around 20 charging stations for electric cars. If you can't find parking on the street, you can also park in the Oranjekwartier parking garage, an 8-minute walk away: Fregelaan 1, 1062 KK Amsterdam.

Public transport: The nearest bus stop is Aalsmeerderplein (towards Lelylaan Station, take bus 62) and is a 3-minute walk away. The nearest metro station is Henk Sneevlietlaan (a 15-minute walk), and the best train station is Lelylaan Station (then take the metro to Henk Sneevlietlaan).
